International Activities
The global nature of modern business means that doing business ethically goes beyond the reaches of the Group Headquarters and has far wider implications internationally.

The IBE works at an international level, both with our multi-national subscribers and in close affiliation with other business ethics organisations which are based overseas.

In order to offer more support to our overseas subscribers, the IBE now holds 2 Business Ethics Network meetings in Europe for larger subscriber organisations. These meetings alternate between Paris and Brussels and provide a forum for discussion in a confidential environment.

In addition, the IBE is now represented in New Zealand where we deliver training and offer advisory work.

Our publications are on sale internationally through our website and we collaborate with our international affiliates in the production of research.

IBE has direct affiliations with:
  • Ethics & Compliance Officer Association of the US
  • Cercle d'Ethique des Affaires - Cercle EuropĂ©en des DĂ©ontologues (CEA-CED) of France
  • European Business Ethics Network (EBEN)
  • Business Ethics Institute of Malaysia
  • International Business Ethics Institute
  • Transparency International
Together with CEA-CED, EBEN & ECOA we host an annual pan-European conference for ethics practitioners to share best practice. www.ebef.eu

The IBE also works with other international organisations by providing them with advice, articles, or speaking at conferences or presentations. Recently these have included:
  • Training courses in business ethics for employees in a number of companies with overseas offices including in Spain, Middle East, France and Romania
  • Collaborated with the Ethics Resource Center based in the USA in devising the UK national survey of workplace ethics Ethics at Work by Simon Webley and Polly Dryden.
  • The directors speak on a variety of international platforms on the subject of ethical business.
  • Seminars are given to visiting students and business delegations from around the world
  • Short training courses and presentations are made to international business groups and companies.
